Adding weight to the flywheel increases rotating inertia, allowing the engine to maintain momentum more effectively. This results in smoother power delivery, improved rear wheel traction, and greater resistance to stalling—especially in hard enduro, single track, and technical riding conditions.

Through extensive testing and rider feedback, we found that 190 grams (6.7oz) provides the ideal balance between improved traction and maintaining the responsive engine characteristics that riders expect from a 2-stroke.

Installation

Installation is simple and can be completed without removing the flywheel.

1. Thoroughly clean the flywheel surface.
2. Heat the flywheel weight to approximately 180°C (355°F) using an oven or gas torch.
3. Carefully place the heated weight over the flywheel until it seats firmly against the starter drive gear.
4. Allow the weight to cool completely. As it cools, it will shrink and lock into position.
5. Apply medium-strength thread locker to the supplied grub screws.
6. Tighten grub screws evenly to 6 Nm.

No flywheel puller required when installed correctly.
